Work Experience
Tanner Bingham brings hands-on experience in operations leadership, process improvement, team development, and consulting. His background spans high-volume operations, supply chain management, and manufacturing-focused analysis.
Consulting Analyst — Trane Technologies
Current
Through the University of South Carolina’s Operations & Supply Chain Center, Tanner works on a consulting project with Trane Technologies. His team is developing a cost-benefit analysis tool to support supplier, material, and process decisions while identifying opportunities to improve weld-shop flow, efficiency, and profitability. The project applies Lean Six Sigma and process-improvement methods to real manufacturing challenges.
Area Manager Intern — Amazon
Summer 2026
As an Area Manager Intern, Tanner supported daily outbound operations and helped lead more than 100 associates per night. He coordinated labor, provided performance feedback, supported productivity goals, and led engagement initiatives during Prime Week.
Tanner also led an improvement project across 54 pack stations by implementing visual guidance on pack screens. The project reduced average pack cycle time by 0.65 seconds per unit, with an estimated impact of more than 19,000 additional units per week and approximately $190,000 in annualized labor value. The improvement began rolling out to additional regional sites.
Upper-Level Management — Chick-fil-A
Tanner has eight years of experience with Chick-fil-A, including five years in upper-level management. His responsibilities have included team leadership, training, day-to-day operations, quality standards, and process improvement in a fast-paced environment.
During the COVID-19 transition to drive-thru-only operations, Tanner helped reorganize workflows and repurpose dining-room space for operational storage. These adjustments supported smoother execution during a major operational change and contributed to an approximately 20% increase in overall store sales.
